One of the most typical Italian desserts is tiramisu, a delicious sweet that is very easy to prepare thanks to the fact that it is a cold dessert, and that can be a lot of fun to prepare with children if they are the ones who bathe the base cakes.

The traditional dessert has as its main ingredient mascarpone, a typical Italian cheese, usually accompanied by coffee and some liquor. On this occasion, being for children, we will replace it with cocoa.

  • 3 egg whites
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 175 gr. of sugar
  • 400 gr. mascarpone cheese
  • 1 package of sponge cakes
  • 200 ml. milk
  • Cocoa powder
  • Chocolate noodles

1. We mix the milk with the cocoa (you can heat the milk to make it easier to dissolve). Pour into a bowl and mix the cakes one by one.

2. Place the cakes in a rectangular mold, putting them in rows so that there is a base. Press lightly with your fingers so that it is more united, and water with a little more glue if they are not sufficiently embedded.

3. In a bowl mix the yolks with the sugar and beat until they are foamy. Add the mascarpone cheese little by little and continue stirring until there is a homogeneous mass without lumps.

4. Whip the whites until stiff with a pinch of salt, add very little by little to the previous mixture, moving carefully so that the whites do not drop.

5. Pour the mixture over the mold with the cakes and put in the refrigerator for a few hours to thicken. At the time of serving, sprinkle cocoa on top, sifting it through a strainer and decorate it with chocolate noodles.
