The brownie is a very tasty and crunchy unleavened cake, with an intense flavor of chocolate that will delight children at home during snack or at any party. So that it is not repetitive, at Guía Infantil we offer you the tender brownie with orange and hazelnuts.

Instead of the nuts you can choose another dried fruit, like hazelnuts, and add a little orange zest. Its citrus flavor combines perfectly with chocolate, leaving a balanced dessert different from the classic sweet.

  • 250 gr. chocolate fondant
  • 100 gr. of sugar
  • 100 gr. Of flour
  • 75 gr. chopped hazelnuts
  • 3 eggs
  • 125 gr. butter or margarine
  • 1 orange

1. Preheat the oven to 185º, and spread a square or rectangular mold with butter. You can also put parchment paper on the base, to make it easier to unmold.

2. Melt the chocolate with the butter or margarine (both in pieces) in a bain-marie or in the microwave, in this case, introduce it in periods of 30 seconds at maximum power, taking care not to burn it.

3. Mix the flour, eggs and sugar in a bowl, and add the chocolate with the butter, when it is already warm so that the eggs do not set.

4. Grate the orange, without reaching the white part because it is bitter, and squeeze half an orange. Add the juice and the zest to the previous mass together with the hazelnuts, until it is homogeneous.

5. Pour the mixture into the mold and place in the oven at 185º for about 15 or 20 minutes. Serve with some hot chocolate or syrup and a scoop of ice cream.
