Dumplings are a very common food at children's dinners, due to the simplicity of their preparation and the wide variety of fillings that it admits, such as this recipe for children for sweet dumplings.

It is true that the most common is that the dumplings are salty, but they can also become a delicious dessert if we fill their interior with jam, chocolate, pastry cream or whatever our children like the most.

  • 12 dumplings wafers
  • Strawberry jam
  • 100 gr. cheese spread
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Oil

Tips: you can use jam of the flavor you like best: peach, raspberry, berries ... and if they are homemade, much better.

1. Place the wafers of the dumplings on the counter, place in the center a tablespoon of cream cheese and another of jam.

2. Moisten the edges a little, close the dumplings by folding them in half. Mark the edges with a fork if desired. You can also use a cutter to make different shapes out of the dough.

3. Put plenty of oil to heat over high heat. When it is hot, add the dumplings in batches to fry. Take them out when they are golden brown and drain on kitchen paper.

4. Pour sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon into a deep plate, coat the empanadillas while they are hot. If you prefer, you can sprinkle them with icing sugar.
